Biden’s Sister Blames Trump for Hunter’s Problems

Washington (Times Of Ocean)- Valerie Biden says that Hunter’s legal problems were caused by Trump’s “very intent” to bring Joe Biden down.

US President Joe Biden’s sister Valerie Biden Owens said Monday that Hunter Biden’s legal problems resulted from former President Donald Trump being “very intent” on taking down her brother.

During an interview with CBS Mornings’ Gayle King, Valerie Biden Owens said she anticipated the 2020 presidential race between her brother Joe Biden and Donald Trump would be vicious.

“The only race that I wasn’t enthusiastic about Joe getting involved in was the 2020 presidency,” Owens said on CBS, “because I was expecting, and was not disappointed, that it would be ugly and mean and would be an attack on my brother Joe personally and professionally because the former president is very intent on bringing my brother down.”

AP has learned that a federal grand jury has heard testimony about Hunter Biden’s income and payments while he served on the board of a Ukrainian energy company.

As reported by the New York Post, emails on Hunter Biden’s laptop show he used his father’s influence to get his friends hired or promoted while his father was vice president.

In the interview, Owens was asked Monday whether Hunter Biden posed a problem for the family. She again blamed Trump.

“I assume that from the beginning the former president and his entourage would attack my brother by going and attacking the family,” she said on CBS, “because of all of the policies and principles Joe stood for.

“[Trump] thought the weak link would be to attack my brother’s child.” She defended her nephew.

“Hunter has written in exquisite detail about his struggle with addiction, his walk through hell, and I am so grateful he has been able to walk out of hell, but I don’t think there’s a family in this country who hasn’t tasted it,” Owens told King.

Owens also suggested her brother run for reelection in 2024.

“Sure, yes,” she said. “I think my brother is the right person, at the right time, for all the right reasons.”

In a possible rematch of 2020 between Trump and Biden in 2024, a Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll found that Trump was 6 points ahead of Biden.

According to a poll released exclusively to The Hill, Trump received 47% of the vote, Biden received 41%, and 12% of voters were undecided.

On Tuesday, Valerie Biden Owens appeared on CBS to promote her new book, “Growing Up Biden.”
